M/s Finlandialla ollaan 1.7.–13.8.23 löytöretkellä keksintöjen maailmassa. Tallinnalainen keksintötehdas Proto tuo Bar Nosturiin osan taianomaisesta näyttelystään. Se tarjoaa oivaltamisen riemua ja tekemistä koko perheelle. Luvassa on on mm. VR-teknologiaa, keksijöiden tiedeshow sekä muita aktiviteetteja.

You can dive into the world of inventions from 16th of February to 26th of February 2026 on m/s Finlandia. Invention factory PROTO in Tallinna brings part of its´ magical exhibition onboard. It offers the joy of inventions and activities for the whole family. There will be, among other things, the ICAROS glider and treasure hunting.

ParadoXSea family cruises on MS Finlandia

This summer, something entirely new is coming to MS Finlandia, as one of Finland's most popular museums, Paradox Museum Helsinki, brings part of its unique exhibition out to sea from 25 June to 9 August.

Paradox Museum Helsinki, which rose to become one of Finland’s most popular museums last year, is bringing part of its unique exhibition experience out to sea. The collaboration between Eckerö Line and Paradox Museum Helsinki gives rise to ParadoXSea — an immersive children’s programme that fills Bar Nosturi with surprises and discoveries. Visitors can expect real exhibition elements from Paradox, as well as fun activities ranging from kids’ bingo to an exciting treasure hunt.

In this activity, your eyes say no – but reality might just surprise you.

Paradox Sofa

Take a seat with a a friend on the sofa and see what happens. You'll have to see it to believe it.

Face Blender

Stand behind the mirror structure with a friend and marvel at who appears in the reflection.

A selection of Paradox's fun puzzle games, available for everyone to try.

Spin the rings and see what happens.

A shop where cruise passengers can pick up Paradox's bestselling games and other fun products.

A fun twist on a cruise classic, with great prizes to be won.

A creative shared moment where everyone gets to draw on the same canvas together.

Treasure Hunt

An exciting mystery challenge where clues lead you to crack a number code and unlock a treasure chest – with a sweet surprise inside.

Guided programme

Welcome aboard, young adventurers, to fun-guided sessions! With the guide, we will play bingo and draw together. The treasure hunt offers a chance to discover, explore and enjoy delightful surprises.

The revamped glider ICAROS

Have you ever dreamed of being able to fly? Now it's possible: climb into an ICAROS aircraft that gives you wings. By shifting your weight, you control your path along a circular route over breathtaking mountainous landscapes. A recommended pilot height of 130+ cm.

Exhibition points - test your senses and hand skills

The little inventors can also get into real action at the exhibition points, where they can test their senses and hand skills. Try and try again! If you don't succeed the first time, the next try can already produce results - like when creating inventions. Also, try a new board game and challenge your travel companion to a match!


Treasure hunt and science session

Welcome aboard, young adventurers, to fun-guided sessions! Together with the guide, we will search for clues and solve mysterious puzzles. The treasure hunt offers little treasure seekers the chance to discover, explore, and enjoy delightful surprises. In the science session, we will seek explanations from science behind everyday phenomena.

Build and DIY area

Bar Nosturi's dance floor transforms into a construction area for the little inventors. A large number of soft building blocks and cubes have been brought to the place, with permission to play throughout the journey. Build a small labyrinth or whatever comes to your  mind. A little inventor's masterpiece could be a labyrinth, a tower, or a fortress.

NOTE! Children play under the responsibility and supervision of their guardians. Eckerö Line is not responsible for personal belongings left in the area.


Take a Proto photo

Climb into the hot air balloon basket and take a photo souvenir of your visit to the ship's Proto area. In the real Proto in Tallinn, you can ride the balloon and soar to great heights.

TOYI toy packages feed the child's imagination and encourage to experiment. A toy package contain various elements that can be put together as you wish - there are no binding instructions. Everything is allowed and the end result can be different every time. The toys are made from recycled materials.

PROTO is in Tallinn's Noblessner harbor quarter - a virtual reality science center, where the prototypes of great scientific inventions come to life in the modern 21st century with the help of VR technology.

PROTO is first of a kind and offers a unique experience that cannot be experienced anywhere else in Europe.

Of course, you get hungry and thirsty during a sea voyage. The restaurants onboard m/s Finlandia serve the whole family.

  • The dessert table is the highlight of the meal for many children: e.g. ice cream, cakes and other treats.
