Did you know that Korkeasaari is one of the few zoos located on an island? Have an adventure in the valley of big cats, become familiar with Barbary macaques and greet our newest deer – the Miilu! In Korkeasaari you can travel around the world and become familiar with endangered animals. The zoo is a home for 150 different species of animals and you can find about 1000 different plant species in Korkeasaari. 

You can reach the zoo all year round from Rautatientori by the zoo bus. In summer time you can also choose to visit Korkeasaari by ferry connection. Ferry takes you from Kauppatori and Hakaniemi straight to the zoo harbour from the first of May until the end of September.
