Check-in begins 2 hours before departure and will be closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. After this boarding is not possible. Vehicle check-in will be closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time in West Harbour and in Vuosaari.

Passengers are requested to arrive check-in no later than one hour before departure to avoid congestion.

Eckerö Line offers a variety of check-in options at the Helsinki West Terminal 2 or in Tallinn at A terminal. Choose the one that suits you best.

Travellers must have all travel documents, such as a passport and visa, required by law and the authorities for the trip in question in order to be able to collect the tickets and board the ship.

Load Eckerö Line App at your app store

The most convenient way to check in is to download our app to your iPhone or Android phone. Log in to the app, and you can see your bookings and find the passenger cards with a QR code that allows you to pass through the departure gate without having to visit the check-in counters. You can also add bookings where you are as a passenger to the app using the booking number and your date of birth. The app also works as a cabin key.

Show the QR code on your mobile device at the gate

You can scan the QR code from your mobile device at the departure gate. The QR code can be found in your booking confirmation, a pdf-document, sent to your e-mail. You only need a smart device, a cell phone or touch pad from which the code can be read. You can also print the boarding card on paper and scan the code at the gate. The printed QR code should be clear and readable. 

Use self-service check-in kiosks

Eckerö Line has two self-service check-in kiosks next to the check-in desk. You can check paid trips for departure the same day. Enter the booking number and follow the on-screen instructions. The machine prints your boarding card and you can go directly to the departure gate and on board. 

Go to check-in desk

If you have, for example, a voucher for your trip, you should hand it over at check-in, at Eckerö Line's check-in desk. Of course, the check-in desk offers you personalized service also in other matters.

Vehicle check-in

When you travel with a car please reserve time for check-in. Vehicle check-in for m/s Finlandia as well as for Finbo Cargo will be closed 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Do you travel with a bike or an e-scooter?

If you are travelling with a bicycle or e-scooter the check-in occurs at the vehicle check-in and the boarding via car deck.

Bonus with the S-Etukortti Card

To receive Bonus for your travels, check online that you have added the information from your S-Etukortti Card to your Eckerö Line customer account and that you have been logged in when booking your trip online. If you have not registered your S-Etukortti Card to your customer account, you will receive Bonus by checking in and showing the S-Etukortti Card at the check-in desk.

If you check in at the self-service check-in kiosks or at the departure gate by scanning the QR code, any Bonus will be automatically registered at the departure gate after the ships departure. This requires that you are registered as a customer at Eckerö Line. If you are not, you should check in at the check-in desk to receive it.
