Tram 9T will run to West Harbour after Easter starting Tue 7 April – Changes to Jätkäsaari routes for five weeks

Tram routes to Jätkäsaari and West Harbour will change after Easter from Tuesday 7 April for five weeks, until Sunday 10 May. The trams will be rerouted via Ruoholahti and across the Crusell Bridge. The reason for the changes is a bridge renovation in Jätkäsaari, where the tram tracks and rail infrastructure on the bridge will be renewed. During the renovation, trams cannot run across the bridge.

Route 9T will operate to West Harbour, using the longer trams familiar from light rail line 15. The new route will run from Market Square via the Central Railway Station, Kamppi and Ruoholahti to the West Terminal, and from there along Tyynenmerenkatua to the intersection with Välimerenkatu. From the Huutokonttori stop, the tram will return to the city centre along the same route.
